At the beginning of the coverage animals must be healthy and without any kind of physical disability. In order to verify this it is required a certificate issued by a veterinarian who checks on the insured herd. Besides, animals can be inspected by the insurer staff.
Coverage A:- Animals for breeding from 6 months to 5 years and a half old. Death of animals as a consequence of diseases not existing at the beginning of coverage or due to accidents.
- For females it is also included the risk of death due to abortion or calving (only for animals between 2 and 7 years old). Death due to epidemic diseases has a waiting period of three months since coverage is hired.
Coverage B:
- Animals for breeding: Total or permanent d due to traumatic accident, penile fracture and/or disease contracted during the insurance effect.
Coverage C:
- Additional coverage of transport: Death of animals of fracture which prevents the fulfilling of their breeding functions. Coverage extends from the origin facility to the exposition facility and their return or from the buying place to the definitive facility. Places and times of transport shall be specified to this insurance company at least 1 week before.
Compensation for each coverage option:- Coverage A: 90% of insured sum per animal.
- Coverage B: 60% of insured sum per animal.
- Coverage C: Death: 90% of insured sum per animal.
Permanent disability: 60% of insured sum.
Damages caused due to partial or transitory disability are not covered.
Exclusions:- Surgical practices without the insurer knowledge, except in case of force majeure (for example: caesareans).
- Lack of attention on the proprietary or veterinarian part.
- Non-approved stimulants, vaccines or medicines.
- Induced abortion.
- Confiscation or destruction requested by public authority.
- War, civil unrest or disturbances.
- Diseases or epidemic that have existed at the beginning the insurance effect.
- Foot-and-mouth disease.
- Mysterious disappearance of Livestock (Theft).
- Robbery of livestock.
